Life Orientation Test

Welcome to the Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) revised version

This test will show you your level of optimism. It was developed by Michael Scheier and Charles Carver in 1985. They revised it in 1994. The test is build on their research papers. More information can be found from their own description at the University of Miami.

Please be as honest and accurate as you can throughout. Try not to let your response to one statement influence your responses to other statements.  There are no "correct" or "incorrect" answers.  Answer according to your own feelings, rather than how you think "most people" would answer.

1. In uncertain times, I usually expect the best.
